It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Vera May (MacDonald) Watt on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Watt; brothers, Thompson, Robert, Fraser, John and twin, Gordon Chalmers MacDonald and by sisters, Jean MacDonald, Marjorie MacKillop and Edna Eade.
Vera was an enthusiastic participant and fan of sports. She enjoyed skating, golfing, curling and bowling. She was noted for her baking and was most proud of her pie crust.
Vera is survived by her two sons, Robert and Douglas Watt; three grandchildren, Robert, Genny and Bethany; and five great-grandchildren, Charlie, Madison, Tanner, Zachary and Lily.
At her request there will be no visitation and a private grave side service will be held.
No flowers. Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
