It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Bennett announce her sudden passing on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Western Memorial Hospital in her 90th year. She leaves to mourn her sons; Gerard (Loretta), Ken (Sharon), Carl (Diane) all of Corner Brook, Jerome (Doreen) of Meadows, Donald (Debbie) of Kitchener ON, Gary of Edmonton, AB, one daughter Madonna Matthews (Tim) of Corner Brook with whom she resided. She was loved by and will be missed by her 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Brothers: Tom (Vera) of New Brunswick, Francis (Juanita) of Codroy Valley, Joe (Bernice) of Nova Scotia. Sisters: Rita Reed (Larry) of Ohio, Rosanne Faykos of Lab City, Sister-in-law Delores Bennett of ON as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Edward in March 2010, parents Wallace and Clara Bennett, brothers: Charlie, Leo, Tommy, Paul Joseph and beloved grandson Phillip. Visitation will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Home Tuesday from 7-9 and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at Sacred Heart Parish on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Maurice O'Quinn officiating. The Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Parish or to a charity of one's choice.
