Harold Otho Crossman, 86, formerly of Amherst, died May 17 at Harbourview facility in Sydney Mines.
The son of Arthur and Euphemia (Wright) Crossman, he worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. Harold loved music and played various instruments in dance and marching bands.
He was predeceased by his wife Araminta (Lowther) Crossman, daughter Linda, brothers Charles, Artie and Herbert, and sisters Edith and Marion.
He is survived by daughters Sharon (Gary) Skidmore, Halifax, and Beverly (Doug) McGee, Sydney; son Arthur, Amherst; sister Jennie MacDonald, Amherst; five grandchildren, John Skidmore, Ernie (Michele) Landry, Trudy (Michael) James, Danny (Jill) McGee, and Sean McGee; and eight great granddaughters.
At Harold's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A family service will take place later at Riverside Cemetery, Tidnish. Donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or charity of choice.
