At Whisperwood Villa on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 of Lieutenant Nursing Sister Bertha Isabel (Thompson) Brown, veteran of Second World War, of Charlottetown, in her 97th year.
Mother of John (Bettiann), Alan (Debbie), Donald (Joanne), Helen Dawson (Hal) and mother-in-law of Cindy Ballem. Survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Sister of Marion Auld and Hollis Thompson (Linda). Sister-in-law of Helen Thompson and Gordon Brown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, Robert D. Brown; by her son, George (Butch); by brothers, Lorne (Anna), Irving (Viola), John (Maude), Fred, Wilfred (Eileen); and sisters, Georgina Vatcher (Leonard), Mildred Johnstone (Will) and Lila Roper (Rae).
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Saturday then to St. Andrew's United Church, Vernon Bridge, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Andrew's United Church Cemetery. Visitation Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
