David Allan Gaigneur, 43, of Reserve Mines, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Marcel Albert and Mary Diane (Popwell) Gaigneur.
David was an iron worker by trade and belonged to the Iron Workers Union, Local 752, Halifax. He loved going on his Honda ATV throughout the many trails in Cape Breton. David was described as a very compassionate man.
He is survived by his three brothers, Marcel (Lorine), Port Morien, Kenny ‘Boo’ (Melinda), Peter Alexander (Debbie), both in Glace Bay, special friend, Frances Metcalfe, Glace Bay, two nieces, Lyssa, Kara and two nephews, Robert and Christopher.
David was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held on Monday morning at 11 a.m. in the V. J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay, with Fr. Dan Boudreau officiating.
