1930-2014: Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family, a long time manager of The Royal Grocery (Holdsworth St./George St. in downtown St. John's). Predeceased by his wife Irene (Clements), his parents Edward (Ned) and Angela Walsh, his parents-in-law Dick and Helen Clements of Petty Harbour, sisters and brothers; Margaret, Bernard, John (Jack) and Katherine (Kitty) and Edward Jr.(Gandy). Leaving to mourn his loss are his daughters: Theresa/Tree (Lisa Zigler) and Gladys Hutchings (Nat, of Petty Harbour/Maddox Cove). Sisters: Veronica Hillier (David G), Mary Soik (Paul - deceased), and Bernadette Blair and one brother Patrick. Also his grandchildren Gary and Curtis Poole in B. C., Bradley and Michael Hutchings (Jessica Norman) of Petty Harbour/Maddox Cove; Sister-in Law Jean. Mike leaves a large extended family and even larger circle of friends and acquaintances from working in the grocery business all his working life. Waiting at the Rainbow Bridge his two little buddies, Scooter and Pudgie, who are ready to play. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation to the Lung Association of NL or an animal rescue organization of your choice. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday and Thursday 2-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass from St. Kevins, Goulds on Friday at 9.30 am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
