GILBERT, ALBERTA MAY – Peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2014, Alberta Gilbert of Saint John, wife of the late Stanley Gilbert passed away at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John on February 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Havel (Ross) Simpson. Alberta loved to spend her winters down south and she also enjoyed shopping. Alberta is survived by her sisters, Gertrude Drouin of Ontario, Viola Totten and Irene McCarthy both of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Freddie.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
