Peacefully at Kinross, with his family at his side, on Monday, May 26, 2014, of Murtagh McInnis, formerly of Stratford and Earnscliffe, age 82 years.
Beloved husband of the late Shirley McInnis (nee MacEachern) and loving father of Carolyn Sproule (Sean), Stephen McInnis (Mary Valente), and Robert McInnis. Murtagh is also survived by his grandchildren - Miranda, Aron, Daniel and Olivia and great-granddaughter, Alyse; sisters - Dickie Martin (Lloyd-deceased), Irene MacRae (Jack-deceased), Rita McGowan (John-deceased); brothers - Ron McInnis (Isabel) and Norbert McInnis (Leah); also by his dear friend and caregiver, Kathy Dicks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents - Peter and Lucinda McInnis; and sisters - Marie Quinn, Florence Rooney and Anne Archilbald.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Friday, May 30, 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31, at Stratford Chapel - Hillsboro Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Assumption Cemetery, Stratford.
