Kenneth William Lloyd
Lloyd, Kenneth William, 65, of Great Village passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late James and Alma (McClymont) Lloyd. Ken worked his whole life as a mechanic. He lived most of his life in Nova Scotia and spent some years in Ontario. He enjoyed the little things in life and nothing put a smile on his face more than talking about his children and taking some time out to go fishing. A better man, friend and father we could not have asked for. Always full of laughter, jokes and warm arms for hugs, he will be dearly missed by all who have known him. We were blessed to have him for the time that we did. He was a beautiful soul with a heart big enough for everyone he met. Even though he is no longer with us his words of wisdom remain in our hearts and heads. Rest easy Dad, for we will surely see you again.
A great man was lost on May 23, 2014, and Kenneth William Lloyd left this world to become our guardian angel in heaven.
He is survived by his children Kenneth (Cindy) Lloyd and Cora Lee Lloyd, grandchildren Joshua Lloyd, Andrea Lloyd, Danielle Moore-Lloyd and Alex Lloyd; brothers Les (Wanda) Lloyd, Jimmy (Kathy) Lloyd and sister Pam (Basil) Melroy.
He was predeceased by his sisters Audrey, Sylvia and Carol.
A graveside memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2014, in Middle Road Cemetery, Debert with Pastor Bill Martin officiating. A reception will follow in Debert Baptist Church Hall following the service for Kenneth’s mother. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
