Passed away suddenly following a brief illness on December 23, 2008, Gerald Dodd, age 80 years. Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Baird) in 2007. Leaving to mourn his children: Barbara Whiteway (Bill), Michael (Denise), Jerry (Viola), Steve (Paula) and Colin (Barbie); grandchildren: Brian (Dianne) and Brent Whiteway; Michael and Stephanie Dodd; Gerald, Jennifer and Greg Dodd; two very special great-grandchildren: Liam and Katie Whiteway; also surviving are his brother Ronald and his sister Elsie Patten. The family would like to express a sincere thank-you to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 2 p.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
