The death occurred at her late residence, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, of Clarissa Ward, of Richmond, aged 101 years.
Born in Victoria West, she was the daughter of the late James and Beatrice (Ramsay) MacFadyen. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Survived by her children, Clarissa "Tessie" McCarville, Borden-Carleton; Wendell (Caroline) Ward, Wellington; Barbara (Clifford) Paugh, St. Hubert; Judie (Armand) DesRoches, Charlottetown; Joan Ward (Reg Noonan), Summerside; Eric Ward (Debbie McLaren), Debert, N.S.; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Jean Arsenault; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, Albert Ward; son-in-law, Roy McCarville; grandson, Gregory Paugh; brothers, John and Ellis MacFadyen; sisters, Catherine Henderson, Elsie MacDonald and Verna Palmer.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Interment in the People's Cemetery, Victoria West. Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
