It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Stephen Clayton Chaput, on May 20, 2014, in a motor vehicle accident in Grande Cache, Alta.
Born in Glace Bay, Clayton was the son of Roland (Tupper) and Wendy Chaput.
Clayton was a devoted father and husband who loved to garden and play baseball. He was also a big Montreal Canadiens fan and a former member of the Donkin Volunteer Fire Department.
Besides his parents, Clayton is survived by his wife Bonnie (Arbuckle), daughter Peyton, sons, Jordan and Parker, sister Tammy (Michael) Aucoin, brother Troy (April) , mother-in-law Pamela, father-in-law Stewart (Jean Anne), sister-in-law Adrienne (Ian), brothers-in-law, Neil (Sarah) and Matthew, nephews, Braydon, Bryson, Tristian, Mitchell, special niece Maria MacIntyre, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Clayton was predeceased by grandparents, Richard and Mora Walton, Anna Chaput, aunt Wanda Russell, cousins, Justin Jenkins and Calyssa Russell.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction for Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. There will be a memorial service on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 11 a.m. in St. Luke’s United Church, Donkin, with Rev. Bob Biggar officiating.
