Passed peacefully away at St. Luke’s Home on Friday, May 23, 2014, Raymond Eli Balsom Jr., age 63 years. Left to mourn his wife, Colleen (nee Mosher) of Corner Brook; his parents Raymond M. and Joan Balsom, Mount Pearl; brother Sherman of Corner Brook; sister Denise Dinn (Joseph) of Chamberlains; nephews: Ryan Dinn (Crystal), Jordan Dinn (Lacey), and Denis Balsom; as well as a large number of relatives and friends. Visitation was held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Saturday, May 24, from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, May 25, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service did take place from the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue, on Monday, May 26, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with interment following at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road Columbarium. No flowers by request. Donations in Ray’s memory may be made to the St. John’s Citadel Men’s Fellowship, or the School Lunch Program.
