1928 - 2008 – Passed peacefully away at Palliative Care, Miller Centre on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Willmeth Haines; brothers Max, Reg, Herb and sister Enid. Left with fond and loving memories are his beloved wife Mildred (Reddick) and five daughters: Helen (Keith), Christine (Elias), Daphne (Gary), Ruth, Glenda (Paul) and his precious five grandchildren: Steven, Andrew, Nicole, Colin and Sophie; his sweet “pup” Sparkles; brothers: Bob (Esther), Gord (Enid) and Bill (Catherine); sister-in-law Carmel; brother-in-law Eric Butler, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Rev. John Paul Westin conducted the funeral service on Friday, December 19, 2008 from the Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road.
