It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carmella 'Connie' Murray, 80, of French Cove on Friday May 30, 2014, in QE II Health Sciences Centre Halifax.
Born in French Cove, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Freda ( Schumacher) MacPhee.
Connie was a loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan and devoted bingo player.
She is survived by her companion of 42 years, Wayne Kennedy; sons John (late Rosanne), Jordan (Mary Ann), Simon (Jeannie), Frankie (Ann Louise), Leo and Joey; daughters Mary Anne (Norman), Vina (Frankie), Donna (Tom), Catherine 'Crow' (Peter), Colleen (Dave), Allison (Mark), 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers Jackie, Bobby, Edward and Hectar and sister Rosemary.
She was predeceased by her husband Harvey, her baby boy Robert and grandson Murray.
Resting in the River Bourgeois Funeral Parlor, with visitation Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday at 10 a.m. from St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, St. Peters, burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family or a charity of choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
