MacKAY, DELLA MAE - 1925 - 2014 - Della MacKay, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Born in Sunny Brae, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith (Carson) Murray. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by four daughters, Marjorie Vriesendorp, Karen Fisher (David) both of Moncton, Peggy Lirette of Ont. and Judith Cormack (Donald), of Winnipeg; five sons Darryl (Patricia), Brian (Louise), Daniel (Carol) MacKay all of Moncton, J. Kenneth (Phyllis) of Ont. and Richard (Amanda) MacKay of P.E.; twenty-nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband John K. in 1982; daughters Isabel in 1946 and Linda LeBlanc in 2006; three sisters Julia Steeves, Evelyn Gaynor and Vivian Cassie.
By personal request there will be no visitation or funeral service held at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2:00pm with Reverend Laurel Buckingham officiating.
