Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Complex on Wednesday, December 24, 2008. Sadie Mercer aged 83 years. Predeceased by parents: James and Lily; sister: Priscilla Hawco; brother: Thomas Noseworthy; son-in-law: Bruce Predhan; brothers-in-law: William Mercer and Max Janes; sisters-in-law: Mary Mercer, Marjorie Janes and Evelyn Noseworthy; nephew: Wayne Mercer and special cousins: Warren and Rita Noseworthy. Leaving to mourn loving husband of 63 years: Hector; daughters: Marcella Gomes (Victor) and Marjorie Predhan; sons: Wallace Mercer and Melvin Mercer (Pauline); seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother: William; sister: Murial; sister-in-law: Lill, as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2008 from Gower Street United Church.
