Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on May 30, 2014, Vera Maude Parsons age 81 years of Indian Bay. Predeceased by her husband; William, parents; Cecil and Edna Pickett, sisters; Ellen Blackwood and Gertrude Brown. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons; Charles (Lydia) of Indian Bay, Harvey (Pam) of Gander, daughters; Mona (Frank Collins) of Gander, Gloria (Christopher Locke) of Mount Pearl, brothers; George Pickett (Amelia) of Centreville, Aubrey Pickett (Marion) of Wareham, sisters; Genevieve (Harry Parsons) of Indian Bay, Ellen (Clayton Cutler) of Wareham, Alma (Roy Bailey) of Wareham, grandchildren; Mervin, Michael, Holly, Krista, Andrew, Megan, great-grandchildren; Faith, Abigail, Noah, Emma, Charlie , also her special nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on June 1, 2014 at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Indian Bay with Rev. David Coffin officiating. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Indian Bay.
