It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norah Bennett announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the age of 95 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Freeman (Tellie) Bennett, Fred Bennett, Danny (Doreen) Bennett, Audrey Tyree, Leonard (Petra) Bennett, Abe (Pam) Bennett, Gene (Janet) Bennett, Tavis (Stanley) Bennett, Cinty (Dan) Hollis; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband Oma Bennett; parents John and Angelina Cormier; brothers: Jack Tourout, Charlie Cormier; sisters: Eunice Hawkins, Emma Jane Simon, Bridgette Louvelle and Angela Young. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral mass will take place on Monday, June 9, 2014 from Assumption Church, Stephenville Crossing at 2:00 p.m. with Father Gerard Patry Officiating. Internment will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Stephenville Crossing following the service. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
