It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald “Gerry” Dolomount announce his passing on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Mary (Kenrick Hancox), Paula (Michael Coyne), George (Jennifer) and Mark (Pamela); grandchildren: Christa, Michael, Luke, Kenzie, Nicklas and Alex; great-grandchildren: Kiah and Rowan; brother Ron (Eudevilla); sisters: Annie Hardy and Gloria Allen (Dennis); aunts: Doreen Dolomount and Blanche Rose; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Ignatia “Nish” (nee Brake) and parents James and Mary Ann Dolomount. Family and friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 9 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
