HAMILTON, IRENE - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Irene Mildred Hamilton which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Thursday, June 5th, 2014 after a courageous struggle with cancer. Born 1927, in Halifax NS, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Kane) Hamilton. Irene worked for many years as head cashier in various grocery stores. She enjoyed volunteering at the Saint John Food Bank, travelling and attending St. Giles United Church. Irene is survived by her son Ross (Gillian) of Toronto, ON; her sister-in-law Margaret; nephews Ian and Glen (Claire) and many friends. Irene was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Clark.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Per request from the family there will be no visitation. There will be a private service for family only.
