ROBINSON, NELSON MURRAY - 1939 - 2014 - Nelson Robinson of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, June 6, 2014 after a lengthy battle with heart disease. Born in Springhill, NS., he was the son of the late Frank and Sarah Robinson (Hoeg). Nelson had 41 years of service with CN Rail starting out at the age of 13 as a helper. He worked in many divisions all over the Maritimes and Quebec. He then relocated to Ontario and continued his railroading career in the Transportation Division retiring from there. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Sharon (Leslie); daughter, Peggy Sue Gillcash; sons, Roger (Patty) of Dieppe, NB; Rick (Kim) Surrey, BC; Robin (John) Sempson of Turtle Creek, NB; step-son, Ted (Jennifer) Robertson of Guelph, ON; step-daughter, Heidi (Jim) Haslip of Jarvis, ON; grandchildren, Vanessa, Hunter, Crystal, Trudie, Adam, Courtney, Lindsey, Jacqueline, Christopher, Kayla, Tessa, Steven, Curtis, TJ, Brooke and Logan; great-grandchildren, Brady, Sara, and Rhylee; sister, Pauline Reynolds of Ottawa; half brother, Fred (Carolyn) of Riverview; and half sister, Donna (Barney) Thompson of Winnipeg. Besides his parents, Nelson was predeceased by a son, Michael.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Friday, June 13 from 7 to 9 PM, the funeral service be held from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 3 PM with Rev.
