Doucet, Anne Belle – 87, of New Edinburgh, passed away Monday, June 9, in the Digby General Hospital. Born in Rossway, Digby Neck, she was a daughter of the late Byron and Susan Lysle (Cossaboom) Prime. A mother of six, Anna worked at Cornwallis Base and was a columnist for the Digby Courier. She was also canvasser for Cancer Society and 60 year member of St. Bernard Parish. A great conversationalist and a social butterfly, Anna loved to visit with her many friends and relatives. She would smile for anyone and always had kind words for all. She is survived by sons: Phillip (Paulette) Doucet; Martin (Joceline) Doucet; daughters: Lois Chislett; Kimberley (Cameron) Potts; Angela Doucet; Maxine Doucet (Lester); 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband: Felix Doucet; 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Visitation will be Wednesday June 11 from 2-4, 7-9 at the Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m. in St. Bernard Church. Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. Interment in parish cemetery followed by a reception at the Weymouth Legion from 1-3 p.m. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
