Mason, Linda Marie, 65, of Windsor, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with her family by her side. Born on September 5, 1948, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she is the daughter of Edna Marie (Burgess) Porter, Windsor and the late Stanley Albert Porter. Linda worked for over 28 years, at the Valley Credit Union, Hantsport. She was the treasurer for many years, for the Glooscap Campers Association. Besides her mother, Edna; Linda is survived by her husband of 45 years, John “Jake” Wayne Mason, Mount Denson; her children, Daniel (Angela) Mason, Victoria, British Columbia; John (Shelley) Mason, Petawawa, Ontario; Kimberley (Donald) Ross, Windsor; grandchildren, Lauren and Kathryn Mason; Jake Mason; Chloe Ross; sister, Sharon (Leo) Jessop, Falmouth. Visitation was 7–9 p.m. Monday, June 9th, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10th, 2014, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Gibson officiated, followed by interment in the Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Town Road, Falmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Linda, were requested to be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Palliative Care Unit (Hants Community Hospital).
