Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, December 26, 2008, Heber A. Noftle of Carbonear, age 82 years. Predeceased by sisters: Enid and Shirley; brothers: Guy, Ralph and Stan. Leaving to mourn wife: Elaxey; two daughters: Florence (Robert) Winsor, Harbour Grace and Mary (Jeff) Jacobs, Carbonear; three sons: Frederick (Bonnie), Toronto, Clarence (Mary), Toronto and Joseph, Carbonear; six grandchildren: Melissa, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Donna, Kelsey and Kisha; one brother: Ivor (Olive), Broad Cove; four sisters: Sylvia Moores, Harbour Lodge Carbonear, Pearl Baker, Whitbourne, Doris Flight, Mount Pearl and Beatrice Noftle, Ontario; sisters-in-law: Pat Noftle, Ontario, Ellen Noftle, Broad Cove and Beatrice Pender, St. John’s; brothers-in-law: Clarence (Florence) Buckler, Northern Bay and Clarence Pottle, St. John’s; special nephew: Sam Slade, Carbonear and special friend: Shirley Riddle, Carbonear and also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral to take place on Tuesday, December 30 at 2 p.m. from the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Carbonear South.
