Harvey, Phillip Lawrence, 65 of Truro, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Welland, Ontario, he was a son of the late Howard and Minnie (Fenton) Harvey. Phillip was a welder for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Irene Florence (Shipley) Harvey; sons Phillip (Lisa) of Brookfield, Jody Coldwall (Wanda) of Calgary, AB; daughter Crystal Harvey (Bart) of Truro; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers Howard (Florence) of Murray Siding, Wade (Brenda) of Greenfield, Queens Co; sisters Connie Harvey of Truro, Cindy Hughes (Veino) of Murray Siding.
A celebration of Phillip’s life will take place on Sunday evening, June 15th from 6-8 in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No funeral service by family request. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Hospice Society.
