Passed peacefully away after short illness at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, June 10th, 2014, Charles Henderson, beloved father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather, aged 91 years. A devoted anesthetist for 45 years. Predeceased by his wife Ruth (Feb. 2013), son Charles (2004) and parents Dorothy (1990) and Charles U. (1968). Left with deep fondness and loving memories are his son Kenneth James (Cheryl); daughter Dorothy; loving brother John (Faith) Henderson; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, brothers-in-law Boyd and Lloyd Lyttle (Nova Scotia); his 5 nephews and a large extended family. Special thank you to Dr. Michael Furey and Dr. Roger Butler for his medical care over the years, plus the numerous nursing and medical staff at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on 6 East over the most recent 12 days. The family also extends thank you for the caring support of Rev. David Sutherland and Reverend Ian Wishart this past week. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday, June 12th, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, June 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 14th, 2014 at 10 a.m. Flowers are gratefully accepted and donations to the Janeway Foundation in his memory are graciously accepted.
