DEWAR, Doris Helen "Aunt Dodie" – Parkland Estates, Truro, formerly of North River, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Toronto, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Violet (Rigby) Upchurch. Doris was a long-time member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Truro. For 10 years, she worked as an accountant for Patterson, Smith, Matthew and Grant, Truro, and then was co-owner of Truro Answering and Secretarial Service for 25 years. Doris is survived by her nieces, Lynda Henery (Dan Morris), Washago, Ontario; Janice (Bill) Dellabough, Oakville, Ontario. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harry Harview Dewar; sisters, Violet (George) Henery, Marjorie Kight. Interment service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2014, in Terrace Hill Cemetery, Kaulback Street, The Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating.
