1920 - 2014 -Entered into eternal rest on June 08 at the home of her son James in Lawn, Marie Rogers (nee Connors), age 94 years. Formerly of Clattice Harbour N.W., St. Kyran's, and St. Leonard's, Placentia Bay, she was a teacher for 33 years. Leaving to celebrate her long and productive life sons James (Ellen) of Lawn and Peter (Rosalie) of Paradise; daughter Jeanne (John) MacDonald of New Waterford, NS; grandchildren James (Stephanie) Rogers, Darryl (Marion) Rogers, Peter (Lori) Rogers, Ann Marie (Keith) Coady, Pamela (Shaun) MacLennan, John (Katie) MacDonald, Ian MacDonald, and special granddaughter Lorna (Adel) Ebadi. Great-grandchildren Kathleen, Ethan, Ellen, Aselin, Dylan, Leila, Allie, Kate, John, Jack, Amelia, Macy, Reid, special great-grandsons Shawn and Lucas, brother James (Cecelia) Connors of St. John's, close and special friends Marilyn Drake and Madeline Edwards, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband John Sullivan Rogers (1999), infant daughters Mary Cecelia and Catherine, parents Thomas and Catherine (Parsons) Connors, brothers Aloysuis, Thomas and Lawrence; sisters Veronica and Mercedes, and half brother Patrick. Resting at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Lawn from 10 am to 9 PM Tuesday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Mass of Christian burial at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Lawn Thursday, June 12 at 10:30.
