BUDD, WILLARD J. - Willard J. Budd, 79, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, June 15, 2014. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Jimmy and Hazel (Crandall) Budd.Willard was a carpenter by trade, a Veteran of the Korean War, a former Peacekeeper with 18 years’ service and attended Lutes Mountain Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed working on his computer and spending time with his family and friends. Willard always put other people and his church first. Willard will be sadly missed by his wife, Joyce (Johnston); daughter, Wanda Budd of Ottawa, ON and sons, Terry Budd (Debbie) of St. Paul, James Budd (Mena) of Brampton, ON and Mark Budd (Erin) of Fredericton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Wrigley (late Gordon) of Glen Ewen, SK, Carol Douthwright (Richard) and Helen Crouse (Keith), both of Rosevale, Joyce Budd of Ammon, Kathryn Pellerin (late Leonard) of Penniac, Rosalie Steeves (Wendall) of Beaver Lodge, AB; brothers, Vaughn (Tillie) of Trail, BC and Rae of Beaver Lodge, AB; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Ralph, Harold, Ernest, Robert and Daniel.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life Service for Willard will follow immediately at 11:00 am at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dale Thistle officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
