MILTON, LILLIAN MAE - 1923 - 2014 - Lillian Mae Milton, 90, of Albert Mines passed away peacefully on June 16th, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital with her family by her side. Lillian was born in Albert Mines in 1923, the daughter of the late Alonzo and Florence (Beaumont) Steeves. She was a faithful member of the Albert Mines Baptist Church. Lillian cooked in the lumber camps when she was younger and was known for her delicious cookies and sweets. She ran a Special Care Home, she loved caring for others. Her personality was to make sure everyone was looked after to the best of her ability, always putting others needs before her own. She was a kind, gentle lady who would do anything to help her family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening and farming. The most important thing in her life was family and they will cherish all the memories and remember her sweet smile. Lillian is now at home in Heaven and would want everyone to think of the new life she is beginning and not the one that has ended here on this earth. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Brenda Rossiter of Albert Mines and Darlene Steeves of Ontario; sons, Rodney Steeves of Weldon and Robin Milton of Albert Mines; her treasured grandchildren, Vicki, Harlan, Patricia, Rhonda, John, Jason, Elizabeth, Andy, Judy, Tyler and Erica ; great grandchildren, Kristina, Shawn, Ashley, Robin, Rodney, Rebecca, Celia, John, Ryan, Adison, Jamin, Ryan, Cody, Tara, Ethan and Lilly-Anne and great-great-grandchildren, Jacob, Danika, Connor, Ella, Lilly, Kassandra, Tyler and Colton; sister-in-law, Betty Steeves of Albert Mines; brothers-in-law, Vaughn Milton of Riverview; Fred Goguen of Moncton. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and by all her extended family, the Steeves and Milton families. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Irving Steeves; second husband, Morris Milton; sons, Lloyd and Fenwick "Fen"; great-grandson, Scott Wilson; sisters, Lena, Gloria, Elizabeth, Martha, Sylvia and Nettie; brothers, Ernest, Lloyd, John "Jack".
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18th, 2014 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Interment will be in the Albert Mines Cemetery. Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated.
