RAYNER
Born on Dec. 3, 1916 in Alma, daughter of the late Frank and Lucy (Callaghan) Kinch. In 1939 Frances married Alvin Rayner and they made a wonderful home in Kildare that welcomed 11 children. Alvin predeceased Frances in 1987. She will be sadly missed by sons and daughters Victor of Kildare, Eddie (Betty) of Kildare, Ivan of Sudbury, Ont., Ann Gorday of Sudbury, Ont., Eleanor MacNeill of Charlottetown, Doug (Hollie) of Kildare, June (Herbie) Pridham of Montrose, Leonard (Claudia) of Kildare, Blair (Aldona) of Kildare, Geraldine (Bill) Eldershaw of Kildare, Joan (Jeff) MacKay of Fredericton, N.B. She is also survived by daughters-in-law, Carolyn Rayner of Alberton and Ruby Rayner of Summerside. Dear sister of Evelyn Kennedy of Alberton, Margaret Kelly of Alberton and Joyce (Ron) McKeigan of Charlottetown. Big Gram to great grandchildren, Zachary, Spencer, Evan, Jake, Maria, Ben, Ted, Tim, Ty, Cole and Clay Rayner, Maggie Eldershaw, Jemma Bubaker, Isabel Bubaker, Conner Harper, Julian Perry, Grace Thomas and Sarah Thomas. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Winnie Getson, Edna Kinch, Anne Kinch, Mary Kinch, Percy Rayner, Joyce Rayner, Theresa Rayner, Thelma (Carl) Hess, Lorne MacCallum and Bernice Rayner. Frances will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter Ashlyn Thomas as well as son-in-laws, David MacNeill and Bob Gorday. She was also predeceased by brothers and sisters, Elmer, Gregory, Maurice, Rita, Patricia and Irene. Mom would often be heard saying “I thank you very kindly” and “There's no place like Home".” Although she was referring to her home in Kildare we know that because of her strong faith, that Mom has truly gone home. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, visiting hours Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, funeral Wednesday morning from the Greenmount Church of Christ with funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment in the Greenmount Church of Christ Cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Greenmount Church of Christ Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
