McGuire, Elizabeth J. “Betty” – 95, of Parrsboro passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (White) Morris. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Arsenault (Dennis), Bass River; sons, Gerald (Donalda), Pictou; James (Linda), Halifax; Patrick (Alma), Charlottetown, PEI; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Marybeth, Jeriann, Paul, Kent, Shawn, Janet, Andrew and Erin; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick in 1961; brothers, Hamilton and Lloyd. Visitation 6-8 p.m. on Sunday [June 22, 2014] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 11 a.m. on Monday [June 23, 2014] in St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Phil Thibodeau officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
