WYSE, ISABEL - Peacefully, at the Miramichi Hospital on June 20th, 2014, Isabel Emily Wyse, wife of the late Lester Wyse, passed away after a period of failing health. She was born in Kouchibouguac on April 29th, 1921 to the late Ernest and Janet MacEachern. Isabel was a graduate of the Miramichi Hospital School of Nursing (Class of 1944) and worked in the hospital in Moncton and Newcastle. She attended St. James and St. John United Church and was a member of the U.C.W. and the Retired Nurses Association. She loved to knit and read and enjoyed family get-togethers. She especially loved visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Isabel is survived by her daughters Lois Sobey (Wilson) of Miramichi and Darlene Murray (Brian) of Saint John, granddaughters Krista Morris (Colin) and Erica Hambrook (Adam) of Miramichi and Kendra Murray of Saint John and great grandchildren Alyssa and Hillary Morris and Graydon and Will Hambrook. Isabel is also survived by her sister Freda Steeves (Harold) of Moncton, her sister-in-law Betty MacEachern of Moncton and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her bother Ronald MacEachern and nephew Ernie MacEachern.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th, 2p.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, 597 Old King George Hwy. with Rev. Charlene MagurieMacKnight officiating. Interment will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James and St John United Church or the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
