Frank Landry was born in Sydney July 12, 1924 and passed away June 12, 2014 in Toronto after a long illness.
Frank was a good natured fellow who loved his family. He was a member of the Canadian Army, Second Brigade Sherbrooke Fusiliers, Armoured Division, served overseas in the Second World War. He worked many years with the Ontario provincial government.
Frank loved to spend time with his family and friends, loved to travel and was an avid fisherman.
Surviving Frank are his wife Anne, Toronto, and step-daughters Angela and Melanie. Also surviving are his daughter Franklynn Johanna Clarke (Gerald), Ottawa, granddaughter Shannon and grandson Graham, his sister Marian Robertson (Ellison), Halifax, and brother Everett Landry (Ann), Coxheath, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother Annie Jane MacLeod Landry and father Simon Angus Landry, he was predeceased by his first wife Mary Dolena Landry and by his sister Velma Hubley (Cyril), Halifax and baby brother Kenneth, Sydney.
There will be no visitation. A memorial and tribute to Frank’s life will be held in Toronto July 6, 2014.
