GALLOP, LORNA - Lorna Eileen (Sisson) Gallop, 93, of Arthurette, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, in the presence of her youngest daughter, at the Hotel Dieu hospital in Perth, NB. She was born to the late Earlin and Lily Tompkins, April 6, 1921, in Anfield, NB. Lorna is survived by her five children: Myrna DeMerchant (late Keith) of Saint John, NB; Robert Sisson (Lynda) of Vineland, ON; Terry Sisson of Arthurette, daughter-in-law Brenda Sisson of Fredericton; Rhonda Locsin of Rothesay; and Gina Topolniski (Kevin) of Edmundston; several grandchildren; Kent, Jay and Troy DeMerchant; Kelly Kydd, Paul and Daniel Sisson; Jeremy Nickerson; Kati and Alex Topolniski, a number of great-grandchildren and her sisters Jeannie Rasmussen (Vance) of Anfield, NB and Anne Kistler (Bill) of Minnesota. The family thanks her Red Cross care workers for providing the support that allowed her to stay in her own home with special mention to Patricia Turner, Lynn Sisson, Monica Spencer and Pamela Brooker.
The funeral service will be held at Brunswick Funeral Home in Plaster Rock, NB on Thursday, June 26 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the United Baptist Church Hall in Plaster Rock. Following her wishes cremation has taken place and the ashes will be placed by her immediate family at a later time.
