BONNER, FRANCIS "FRANK" EUGENE - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Francis Eugene Bonner, which occurred at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, June 26, 2014. Born June of 1941 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Thomas and Eileen (McCarthy) Bonner. Frank worked as sales manager for Lift Parts Atlantic for many years, retiring in 2006. He was a former member of Stella Maris Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 64. Frank enjoyed camping at Mic Mac Trailer Park. He loved playing horse shoes and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ann (O'Brien); his sons, Peter Charles of Moncton and Christopher Francis Thomas of Saint John; daughter, Catherine Ann Walsh (Stephen) of Saint John; sisters, Margaret Buckley (Leo) of Saint John and Doreen Fennell (Donald) of Rothesay; grandchildren, Kayla, Liam Thomas, Audrey, Sophia and Olivia; best friend, Bob McCarron (Merilyn) of Rothesay; sister-in-law, Marie (Bonner) Totten; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Thomas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Saturday, June 28 from 6 to 8 pm and Sunday, June 29 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A mass of Christian burial will take place from Stella Maris Church on Monday, June 30 at 12:00 noon. Private interment at a later date.
