DAVIS, DOUGLAS OSCAR - 1945-2014 - Douglas Davis of Riverview, NB, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Tusket, NS, he was the son of the late Alvin and Leona Davis. He was a longtime Transport Driver with over 4 million miles logged, having been employed by Maritime Ontario, Midland, Irving Woodland and most recently with Armour Transportation Systems for the past 9.5 years. In his leisure time Doug enjoyed spending time with his family, who were very important to him, tending to his beautiful flower gardens. He was an avid model car collector as well as coke memorabilia and was a member of City Impact Church in Moncton for 35 years. Doug is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rose; daughters, Tracey Bustard (Philip) of Saint John, Amanda Bailey (Justin); son, Andrew (Rebecca) both of Moncton; sisters, Patricia Palmer, Morleena Smith, Connie Buchanan, Janet Fenwick (Calvin), Marion Lamb (Steven); brothers, Donald (Eileen), Arnold (Evelyn), Jim and Robert; grandchildren, Austin, Kaylie, Connor, Hope, Mark, Laura, Colin, and impending arrival, baby Charlotte, his aunt Leta Dixon, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, (869-2007), on Sunday, June 29, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service to be held at City Impact Church, 230 Gorge Rd., Moncton, on Monday, June 30, at 3:30 pm, with Reverend Donnie Legere officiating. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society , Red Cross or The Palliative Care Unit of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
