Ralph Trenholm, 80, a resident of the Northside Community Guest Home passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2014 with his daughters by his side.
Born in Louisbourg, he was the son of the late James William and Stella (Pearl) Trenholm.
He is survived by his daughters, Debra (Kenneth) MacLean, Boularderie and Lynn Flewwelling, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Beverly (Andrew Deveaux) MacLean, Jamie (Heather Penny) MacLean, Richard Flewwelling and Benjamin Flewwelling; mother of his children, Theresa Trenholm; brother, Bob (Pat) Trenholm, Calgary; sister-in-law, Joyce Trenholm, Boularderie.
He was predeceased by his brother, Ted Trenholm, Boularderie.
Fishing out of Big Bras d'Or for many years, Ralph was a lobster fisherman who enjoyed being on the water.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Northside Community Guest Home and nurses (Helen and Sue) in the ICU at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Memorial donations in Ralph's memory may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada
