It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Kevin Hugh Penney of Mount Pearl (formerly of Canning's Cove) announces his passing at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Thursday, July 10, 2014 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Kevin was surrounded by the love of his family. Predeceased by his brother Reginald and mother Harriet (Mae). Leaving to mourn with fond memories his partner, Yvonne Collins; sons Mark and Brian; stepchildren Jennifer and Daniel; father Gordon Penney; brother Gary and sister Jackie, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Thank you to the staff at HSC Emergency Dept., St. Clare's Mercy Hospital and Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Centre. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Saturday, July 12th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., also in Canning's Cove on Sunday, July 13th from 8 p.m.-10 p.m. Funeral to take place at St. John the Devine Anglican Church in Canning's Cove on Monday, July 14th at 2 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H.
