STRICKLAND, Selby– Passed away suddenly on December 28, 2008, Selby Strickland, aged 76 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Violet (nee Smith); parents: William and Charlotte; brothers: Billy and Fred. Leaving to mourn his son Paul (Lorraine) and daughter Dawn Piccott (Steve); grandchildren: Alana, Mark, Benjamin, Stephen and Kandice; great-grandchildren: Rosemary and Olivia; sisters: Margaret, Dorothy and Mary; as well as a number of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30 and from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday. Funeral Service to take place from Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
