At the Prince County Hospital Summerside on Wednesday Dec. 31, 2008, of Preston Roy MacDonald of Searletown, aged 86 years. Born in Mount Tryon on June 16, 1922, son of the late Roy and Florence (Bell) MacDonald. Husband of Cora (McKenna) MacDonald. Father of Ronnie (Sandra), Bedeque, Brian (Verna), Cornwall, Barry (Bev), Cornwall, and Sherman (Ruth), Searletown. Grandfather to nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of Blanche Jewell (late Davis), Verna McKenna (late Victor), Jennie Mayhew (late Earl), Garnet MacDonald (Jean), Dorothy Jewell (late Fred), John MacDonald (Mae), Ethel MacDonald, Wanda Lord, Carl MacDonald (Barb) and Dianne Stewart (Garnet). Brother-in-law of Lorraine MacDonald. Predeceased by brothers, Hollis and Lloyd (late Marion) MacDonald. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the Crapaud Gospel Hall Cemetery.
