The death occurred at the Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, of Louise Hunter, formerly of Summerside, aged 104 years. Born on White Head Island, Gran Manan, she was the daughter of the late Emery and Mina (Guptill) Small. Survived by her daughter Marcia (Ed) Johnston; grandchildren Heather Johnston (Ted Minchev), Andrew (Nancy) Johnston, Melanie Johnston (Paul Perry); great-grandchildren Emma, Hunter and Brooke Johnston and Evan Minchev. Predeceased by her husband Russell Hunter; infant son David Malcolm Hunter; and by her brother Gladwyn Small. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to the Summerside Presbyterian Church, where funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Saturday at the Summerside Presbyterian Church, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial donations to the Summerside Presbyterian Church or the P.E.I. Humane Society would be appreciated.
