Bennie Grady
The death occurred at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, N.S., on Monday, July 21, 2014, of Bennie Grady, of Summerside, aged 83 years. Veteran of the Korean War. Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late John and Jean (Richards) Grady. Survived by his wife, Eleanor (Smith) Grady; children, Jody (Jean) Berube, Barbie (Simon) Arsenault, Chuck (Heather) Grady; brothers, Stewart Grady, Grant (Lynnie) Grady; sister Marjorie Gaudet; grandchildren, Tanya Birch, Timmy Gallant, Genevieve (Brian) Dempsey, Aimee Arsenault, Melissa Arsenault (Jamie Bowness), Ben Grady and Drew Grady; great-grandson, Alex Dempsey; and by son-in-law, Hal Birch. Predeceased by his daughter, Margy Birch; grandson, Grady Gallant; brothers, Jim (Janet) Grady and George Grady; brother-in-law, Leo Gaudet, Urbie MacNeill; and by sister-in-law, Margie Grady.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
On Thursday evening, members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Service of Remembrance, at the funeral home, at 5:45 p.m. Due to family allergies, please refrain from wearing scents.
