The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, of “Lloyd” David Cameron of Miscouche, P.E.I., and formally of Wellington Centre, aged 73 years. Lloyd was born on Nov. 28, 1935, in Wellington Centre, P.E.I., to his late parents John Edward and Bernice (nee Shreenan) Cameron. Beloved husband of the late Foustina (nee Blacquiere) Cameron and loving father of Leatha (Clarence) Dupis of Moncton, N.B., John (Tanya) , Joe and Kenny (Lisa) all of Miscouche. Also lovingly remembered by his grandsons, Spencer, Scott and Sam, his granddaughter, Skylar, and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers and sisters: Leo (Wendy) of Port Hope, Ont., Harold (Melina) of Wellington Centre, Marion (Joe) Gillis of Bayside and Eleanor Breau of Summerside. Besides his wife and parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his brothers: Urban, Austin, Earl, Alden, Ralph and Gordon in infancy and by his sister, Blanche Praught. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, Jan. 5, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations in Lloyd’s memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Comrades of The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #18, Miscouche, will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. Online condolences may be made at.
