The passing of Alice Horsley of Burlington, Ont. Dear mother of Jean-Louise Horsley occurred on Wednesday. July 23, 2014 at the Emmanuel House Palliative Hospice.
Born on July 4, 1953 in Point Aconi, N.S. She was the daughter of the late John B. MacDonald from Point Aconi and the late Alice D. MacDonald (nee Simpson) from Sydney Mines. Alice is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jean-Louise and her partner, Jonathan of Burlington, Ont. Alice is survived by her sisters, Louise De Caire (husband Danny, nephew Justin De Caire) of Dunnville, Ont., Mary Jean MacDonald of Burlington, Ont., and brothers, Wayne MacDonald of Oakville, Ont., Angus MacDonald (wife Lena, nephew Trevor) of Stoney Creek, Ont., Danny MacDonald of Fredericton, N.B. (partner, Giselle, daughters, Karly MacDonald of Jasper, Alta. and Kirsten MacDonald of Fredericton, N.B.), Alex MacDonald of Calgary Alta. (wife Rhonda and sons, Joshua, Jonathan and Andrew). Predeceased by her nephew Andrew De Caire.
Alice loved to laugh and make those around her always feel welcome.
