It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad, Harold Edward MacIsaac, July 29, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital,Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (MacVarish) MacIsaac.
Harold was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus, Sydney. He was an extremely kind man, with a wonderful sense of humour. Dad loved nothing better than to tell old stories and play Tarabish. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by daughters, Laurie MacIsaac and Cindy (Charlie) MacArthur, both of Sydney; sons, Christopher (Toshie) and Joseph, both of Vancouver; sister, Mary (Dick) MacPhail; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jamee, Abby, Brandon, Joshua, Brayden and Cheyenne; great-grandson, Landon.
We would like to thank Dr. Greg Myatt, Janice and Laura, as well as Reg, Mary and the wonderful staff at Pollett’s Drug Store for all the help and kindness given to dad over the years.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 1st starting at 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., both at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Rev. Bill Burke will officiate. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Sydney, at a later date.
Harold’s family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in his memory be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
