RIDEOUT, CAROL - Carol Sylvia Rideout, wife of the late William J. Rideout, passed away following a period of failing health on August 3rd, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on December 28th, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Agnes (Forsythe) Giggey. Carol is survived by her son, Billy “Rascal”; daughters, Kathy (Jimmy), Heather (Richard), Robin (Dave), Carrie (Kirk) all of Saint John; grandchildren; Kelly, Ashley, Crystal, Zack, Tyler, Matt, and Kevin, great grandchildren; Kevin and Jalica, sisters; Dolly (Stephen) of Saint John and Sissy (George) of NS as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Carol was predeceased by sisters Alberta and Esther, and her brother Ronnie.
Visitation will take place at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th, 2014 at 10:00 am from Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home Chapel, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John E2M 2L3 (634-1701) Interment will take place in the Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
