PICTOU LANDING FIRST NATION – Harvey Raymond Francis, 46 of 31 Rose Avenue, Pictou Landing First Nation, died February 15, 2010 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Raymond and Margaret Rose (Nicholas) Francis.
Harvey was a fisherman, loved to four wheel, and play ProLine. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by sisters, Fran Montieth (Alex), Halifax; Louise Sapier (Martin), Pictou Landing; brothers, Barry (Sheila) Francis and Hugh Francis, both of Pictou Landing; godchildren, Kyle Francis and Jordan Francis; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.
His remains will rest at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Pictou Landing First Nation after 2 p.m. Thursday from where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Harvey may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
