GOODINE, MARIE - On August 6, 2014, Mrs. Marie Goodine of Grand Falls passed away at the Victoria Glen Manor in Perth-Andover, at the age 77 years. She was the wife of Carvell Goodine whom she married in 1958. Born at Argosy in 1936, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Laura (Sullivan Murphy) Dixon. For many years, Marie was an active member of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church. She was also a teacher for several years at the former Sacred Heart Elementary School in Grand Falls. She is survived by her husband, her five children, Brent of Grand Falls, Blaine of Grand Falls, Dawn-Marie of Toronto, Ontario, Michael (Valerie) of Grand Falls and Cory of Vancouver, BC, seven grandchildren, Marie, Eve, Thomas, Kristen, Morgan, Cody and Joshua, four great-grandchildren, Keiran, Lindsay, Shanleigh and Claire, two step-grandchildren, Justin and Michael, one step-great-grandchild, Ashton, three brothers, Bernard Murphy (Shirley) of Perth-Andover, Ray Dixon (Dorothy) of Fredericton and Conrad Dixon (Helen) of Perth-Andover, three sisters, Allene Embelton (late Norris) of Presque Isle, Maine, Lois Goodine (Dr. Frederick) of Woodstock and Myrna Kloster (late Emmanuel) of Edmonton, Alberta, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Howard Murphy.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held Monday, August 11th at 2 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with interment in the parish cemetery of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in Aroostook.
